I had moved my blog from WP to Blogger. I will try to make the content stand alone from my social media posts, where I just post photos on daily basis. So this is not supposed to be another place where I copy the content. Also, I will try to move my older blog posts from WP. Trying to export and import the content. Not successful so far. Yesterday I managed to get outside at around 3 pm. So I had about 60 minutes till dark. I made a couple of shots with fast shutter speed (1/250). But when it was getting darker, I thought I will not fight with lack of light, but I will use it to capture the mood of the street life during the dusk. To interpret my mood of place and time of this cold December afternoon. So, I switched from Auto Iso (which is my default setting) to Iso 100. Lowest value on my Olympus. I had set shutter speed to a 0,5 a second or so. And than I entered the world of.... blur, movements and lights... I even tried some panning and some photos looked really good on the display. I am looking forward to see this set processed. Oh well, after I eventually step forward to process photos from autumn. I like what you said this week. That our photos are like selfies of ourselves. This is written on the train on the way from Prague to Ostrava yesterday evening. Just a quick one day trip. Duties mostly. But I stole some moments for myself and my camera. I always do. I made some shots on train station in Ostrava. 5 AM. Minus 7 C. Especially happy for one shot made through the dirty glass window of a woman. Than a shot during 3 hours ride on the train of the frozen landscape blurred in the move. Blurred intentionally. Happy with some of them, too. Arrival at Prague main train station. Busy place. Fast and crowded. It always stinks bad in front of the train station. But this morning it was worst smell I can ever remember from there. This spot is popular among homeless people and all kinds of other people. I was happy to make some snaps and I especially recall one shot of a homeless woman selling a magazine Novy Prostor (something like New Space), which is kind of a social program to include homeless people so they can participate in life and earn some money.
